Winning team NCYU Stands Out Again at Changhua-Yunlin-Chiayi Region Student Club Evaluation

There were 50 student clubs and student government organizations from 15 schools that participated in the “Changhua-Yunlin-Chiayi University & College Alliance Student Club Final Exhibition 2017.” Only four student clubs from National Chiayi University joined the contest, and all of them won awards, including two exceptional and two excellence awards.

Outstanding achievements were demonstrated: The Soul Image Chinese Music Club won an exceptional award in the category of “entertainment”; Tutorial Club obtained an exceptional award in the category of “service”; Astronomy Club attained an excellence award in the category of “academic and art”; and the Woodsman Volunteer Team was winner of an excellence award in the “service” group.

Ming-Chung Chen, Dean of Student Affairs, NCYU, showed up to show his support to all the participating student clubs. He indicated that their remarkable achievements this year were not only an honor to the university, but also memorable and valuable landmarks in the lives of the students. This was the culmination of their commitment and dedication to the student clubs.

Yang Ting-Ya, leader of the Soul Image Chinese Music Club, said they were happy to win the exceptional award for two years in a row. All the club members had been preparing for the both mid-term exam and evaluation documents at the same time since the competition date coincided with the midterm week. Were it not for their division of work they would not have been able to participate and won the awards in the event.

According to Qiu Xin-Ying, leader of the Tutorial Club, it was their pleasure to join the contest and gain the award on behalf of the university. She expressed gratitude to their seniors for laying a solid foundation, to all the members for their devotion, to the university for the abundance of resources, and to their club advisor for the encouragement.
