 NCYU President Chyung Ay (middle) and administrative supervisors had a group photo with representatives of the sister schools and alumni from around the globe. Overseas Sister Schools and Alumni Come from Afar to Celebrate NCYU Anniversary
  To celebrate the centennial anniversary of National Chiayi University, the sister schools and alumni from around the world visited and offered their congratulations to the university on the eve of the anniversary. The representatives came from a total of twelve sister schools and two friendly schools overseas: Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (mainland China)、Wuyi University (mainland China), Ecole Superieure du Bois (France), Chukyo University (Japan), Joetsu University of Education (Japan), Kagawa University (Japan), Onomichi City University (Japan), Isabela State University (the Philippines), University of the Philippines Los Banos, Chiang Mai University (Thailand), Maejo University (Thailand), Suratthani Rajabhat University (Thailand), University of Idaho (U.S.), and University of Wisconsin-Madison (U.S.). Several overseas alumni from Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and Vietnam also came back to their alma mater with a heart of joy, and catched up and celebrated the day with the faculty and staff members.

  In the evening of Oct. 25th, the eve of the anniversary, NCYU hosted a feast to welcome guests from afar, which proceeded in a harmonious, friendly atmosphere. The event unveiled with the NCYU Chinese Music Club playing songs to welcome the guests. On behalf of the university, President Chyung Ay thanked the guests from all over the world to come from afar to Taiwan to celebrate the centennial anniversary of NCYU. In addition to hoping for closer cooperation with the sister schools in the future, he thanked the overseas alumni who specially showed up to extend their congratulations. While pursuing their careers in different places in the world, the overseas alumni did not forget to come back to celebrate the anniversary of the alma mater. He expected everyone to work together to seek excellence for NCYU, make it to the world stage, and make breakthroughs in the days to come. All the guests extended their congratulations on the centennial of NCYU, and bore witness to the wealth of academic research results shown by the teachers and students. Apart from offering their heartfelt wishes to the university, they hoped for an enduring collaboration and friendship as well as a spectacular future.

  In terms of collabration with sister schools around the world in recent years, the university has been proactive to enter into sisterhood agreements with various educational institutes, and facilitate international cooperation among departments and colleges in related fields. It also encouraged the departments and colleges to engage in a unique way of international exchange, create a friendlier platform for communication, and promote and implement cooperation projects. The objective is to diversify collaboration among schools, meet the needs of the teachers and students, and accelerate the vision of making it an internationally-renowned university.
