Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Virtual Investment Transaction Contest at NCYU

With a view to enhancing the ability among students in the Yunlin, Chiayi and Tainan region to apply their knowledge in investment and money management in response to financial market changes, the Department of Finance of National Chiayi University organized the one-month-long virtual investment transaction contest, which is available for on-line registration by students of universities and colleges in the region from today till May 9 at 10:00 p.m.

According to the department, the contest will give students a virtual experience in establishing investment portfolios consisting of stocks, futures and options. In the process, the students could learn how to apply their knowledge in investment and money management to real-world situations.

Students can join the contest in a group of one to three and invite one teacher who will advise them on competition strategies. The contest will begin on May 10, the day following the registration deadline. The scores of each group will be evaluated based on their total rate of return. The group with the highest scores will receive book tokens worth NT$10,000 and a certificate of award. The second and third place winners will be presented book tokens worth NT$8,000 and NT$5,000 respectively and certificates of award. Students with talent or interest in investment or financial products transactions are welcome to register for the contest at the website of the Department of Finance.
