Experience：

Professor Rong-Yi Liu has earned a wide reputation as an oboe and English horn soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player, administrator and teacher through his 25-year artistic career. In the symphonic world he has been invited to perform with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra, Hungarian Szegde Symphony Orchestra, Romanian Arad Philharmonic Orchestra, the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Poland, Jung-Chun Symphony Orchestra of Korea, among many others.

Having served as the Principal Oboe for the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra for 17 years, his extensive experience include 30 solo recitals, 50 concerto performances with various orchestras, 100 chamber recitals, etc., and has collaborated with artists such as the Principal Oboe of the Berlin Philharmonic Mr. H. Schellenberger.

Professor Liu earned his B.M. degree from the Taichung Teachers' College and his Artist Diploma from Staatiliche Hochschule für Musik Ruhr, Folkwang Hochschule Essen of Germany as a student of Prof. Pierre W. Feit.

Professor Liu is currently Professor of Oboe and Chairman at the Department of Music of National Chia-Yi University (2003-2009), and he also serves as the Adjunct Professor of Oboe at the Taipei National University of the Arts.
