The purpose of this course is to introduce western music history in Baroque period, by means of lectures and multimedia stimulation.  The contents the rise of instrumental music, the invention of opera, music for chamber and church in the seventeenth century, the early eighteenth century in Italy and France, and German composers of the late Baroque.
