This course is a basic study of conducting. The subject will start from exploring the history of conducting, for students to get an essential idea of a conductor’s function and responsibility. Further, from the director’s demonstration, students will be learning the fundamental techniques of conducting step by step, establishing the concept of preparing, increasing the abilities of analyzing and interpreting. All the students in the class are the members of the choir while everyone take turns to conduct.
