 Paiwan
The population of Paiwan tribe is about 84,851 peoples (Aug, 2008), ranked 3rd. The Paiwan live at the eight townships in the Pintung county and Tawu and Taimali townships in the Taitung county. Paiwan
were composed of Raval subtribe and vutsul subtribe
vutsul consist of paumaumaq groupnorthern Paiwan)、chaoboobol group and parilario groupsouthern Paiwan)、paqaroqaro group eastern Paiwan)。The important festival of Paiwan were Ancestor festival, 5 years’ Blessing Festival (Maleveq), Harvesting Festival (Masarut), Crab Festival. The important handicraft were kitting of clothes and bamboo, pottery, sculpture, mat kitting, sparkle marbles and friendship drinking container. Paiwan were skilled with art in sculpture and costume in their life.
