Development orientation

1.    To foster bio-industry managerial talents:

Based on localized bio-industry management courses, we instill the notions of business and management, information management, international marketing into students’ mindset. We also provide students with the training programs of foreign language skills. During winter or summer vacations, our faculties will lead students to study foreign countries to observe the operation of foreign bio-industry, further broaden students’ foreign experience, so as to foster localized bio-industry managerial talents with a global perspective.

2.    Emphasizing the importance of the combination of theoretical and practical issues:

NCYU DBBM has practical faculties who are active in the bio-industries. For instance, the executive director of Taiwan Farmers Management Association, the secretary director of Taiwan wax apple development association, the vice executive director of Taiwan tangerine association and the chief consultant of Goat Farmer Association, all of them are specially recruited faculties at NCYU DBBM. All practical teachers can offer theoretical notions by using their practical experiences of counselling agri-businesses. Therefore, students will gain profound comprehension and experiences, and enhance their abilities to solve practical problems.

3.    Integrated faculty:

NCYU DBBM is under the jurisdiction of Business College. Apart from our teaching staff, we invite faculties from the department of business administration to lecture on business-related topics.

4.    Elaborating the advantages of regional resources and cultivating the characteristics of bio-business management:

NCYU is located at southwestern part of Taiwan, where bio-industry operating advantages and abundant natural resources are at hand. To cater the trend and demand of the market, NCYU DBBM establishes two major elective programs, the biotechnology management program and the internationalization of bio-business merchandise program, further equip our students with the abilities that match up market demand.
