　　On the morning of Feb. 26th, National Chiayi University and Nam Liong Group signed a strategic alliance agreement on academic-industrial cooperation on the Lantan campus. The signing ceremony was attended by 19 top supervisors from NCYU and 12 supervisors from Nam Liong Group. Representatives from NCYU included President Chyung Ay, Vice President Huang Guang-liang, and Vice President Chishih Chu. Led by CEO Shao Ten-Po, representatives from Nam Liong Group included Zhang Ming, Deputy CEO of the General Administration Office, Hou Zun-Ren, Chief Financial Officer, Xie Shun-Cheng, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Hsu Jui-Feng, General Manager of Shijin Culture Art Center. At the ceremony, both parties established collaborative projects for the future. In terms of cooperative work experience education, subsidiaries of Nam Liong Group will provide NCYU with teacher-student exchange workshops, on-site visits, student internships and employment opportunities, among others. As to academic-industrial cooperation, NCYU and Nam Liong Group will work together to apply for national research projects, share books and valuable research equipment resources, jointly organize academic research workshops and international seminars, etc.

　　According to NCYU President Chyung Ay, since its founding, Nam Liong Group has established itself as a multinational group with nearly 60 companies worldwide. Over the years, NCYU has been collaborating with subsidiaries of Nam Liong Group. In forming a strategic cooperative alliance, they hoped to facilitate technological exchanges and cultivation of professionals for both parties, reduce the education-job mismatch, and cultivate professionals for the country. NCYU presented the “NCYU-1919” wooden box premium coffee, a special gift prepared by students through cross-faculty cooperation. It symbolized the synergy of diversified academic-industrial collaboration and cross-domain development in NCYU. In the future, it is expected that both parties will apply for large-scale national projects through teamwork, and fulfill their social responsibility by contributing to development of the agricultural, industrial and other sectors in Yunlin and Chiayi.

　　Nam Liong Group CEO Shao Ten-Po indicated that Greenrays International Co., Ltd. and Agro-green International Co., Ltd. will work closely with NCYU in the future. Located in Taibao City, Chiayi County, both subsidiaries of the group will commit themselves to establishing a talent pool at NCYU, and facilitating research and development on food and biotechnology, and discussions on academic-industrial cooperation and local innovation in conjunction with the government policies. They hoped to establish a positive collaborative mechanism for resource exchange and sharing, with a view to enhancing collaboration between academia and industries.
