The 2nd Expanded Faculty Meeting of Teachers College, National Chiayi University, for the 1st (Fall) semester of 2014 Academic Year

　　The 2nd Expanded Faculty Meeting of Teachers College, National Chiayi University, for the 1st (Fall) semester of 2014 Academic Year, hosted by Dean Jyh-Chyuan Ding, was held at 10 AM on Monday, January 19, 2015, in the Room I106 at the Science Building, Ming-Hsiung campus.

　　During the meeting, Dean Ding first highlighted the future development for the College based on the theme concept- “Cultivated Locally, Connected Globally” by centering around issues on the status quo and on-going activities of the College, curriculum and teaching, students learning, student recruitment affairs, research and industry-university partnership, internationalization and cross-strait communication, and student affairs, respectively.

　　Next, Professor Liu, Wei-De from YunTech (National Yunlin University of Science and Technology) gave a speech on “MOOCs: EWANT+CNMOOC” to share with his experience in lecturing the course of Contemporary Applied Psychology. Professor Liu not only demonstrated clearly the core spirit of MOOCS, Ten receipts for the MOOCS, curriculum development team, and curriculum management and outcomes, but also revealed the ups and downs about numbers of enrolling students before reaching the high of 1,200. All the attending faculty members were touched by his enthusiastic involvement and passions for the MOOCS.

　　Besides, Visiting Professor Feng, Juen from Nanjing Xiaoxhuang University was invited to show the attendees how they promoted the “Teaching Practicum, Replacement Training” Program and to help the attending faculty members better understand the way universities and elementary schools interact and cooperate in China currently.
