This course is set for students to improve the knowledge of the symphonic repertoire and to enrich the experience of listening. The important composers from Baroque, Classic and Romantic periods will be discussed along with their representative orchestra masterpieces. By the chronologic presentation of the composers and their works, the development of the orchestra will also be examined. Students are requested to participate in the class discussion about the musicians and the related music.
