This course is the extensive study of Orchestra Repertoire（I）in the 1^st semester. We will focus on the development of the orchestra in the Romantic, Nationalism, Impressionism and the twentieth century. The important composers in each era and their orchestra works will be presented and discussed. The composers include F. Liszt, R. Strauss, G. Mahler, R. Wagner, P. Tchaikovsky Rimsky-Korsakov, M. Mussorgsky, B. Smetana, A. Dvorak, E. Grieg, J. Sibelius, E. Elgar C. Debussy, M. Ravel I. Stravinsky, A. Schoenberg, B. Bartok.
