In this course, you will have the opportunity to learn the principles which are the foundation of all teaching methodologies. Principles learned in this class can be applied to both one-on one teaching (singing lesson, vocal coaching) and group situations (class voice, choral music).

We will be reading from a variety of books and articles. You should plan on spend some time outside of class reading. The vocal pedagogy will include two levels of pedagogy- applied lessons and art song literature. The ultimate goal of this course is to give you the tools to teach singing in a healthy way and choose the suitable repertoire for different voice type.
