B.S. PROGRAM

The undergraduate students are only admitted every Fall.
The undergraduate program currently admits students via 3 routes:

  • Taking the annual university entrance exam in July
  • Taking the annual academic ability test in February and applying at the department
  • Taking the transfer exam

     Course Objectives
     1.
Students have professional knowledge of life science’s basic theories.

     2. Students have concepts of conservation and sustainable management of ecology,
         and abilities of services.
     3. Students have abilities of observation, search for data, inference, creation and solve problems.

     Basic Ability Index 
     1.Students have professional knowledge of organisms’ basic structures and functions.
     2. Students understand the relationship between organisms and environments.
     3. Students have knowledge of systemic classification.
     4. Students understand the meaning of biodiversity and sustainable usage of biological resources.
     5. Students have concepts of protection and sustainable management of biological resources.
     6. Students have abilities of sampling and investigation of biological resources.
     7. Students can solve problems by scientific knowledge.

     Rules and Restrictions regarding courses and credits:

     Total number of credits needed for graduation: 128

     Inclouding Professional Compulsory credits: 62,
     Professional elective credits: 36,
     General Education Credits: 30



MASTER PROGRAM

Domestic applicants must hold a Bachelor degree or equivalent from a local university or foreign institute recognized by the Ministry of Education. The application and admission brochure will be the best document to refer to and are usually available in mid October.

If none of the above conditions applies, the applicants can still take part in the master program exam in mid April. The master program exam is solely a written exam, unlike the doctoral program exam.

     Course Objectives

     Basic Ability Index 
     Biology Resource Division:
     1. Students can studies the structures and functions of organisms.
     2. Students can investigate the relationship between organisms and environments.
     3. Students can investigate and exploit the biological resources.
     4. Students can carry out sustainable management of biological resources.
     5. Students can research and publish papers independently.

     Plant Medicine Division:

     1. Students can exploit the identification technology of plant diseases and pests.

     2. Students can exploit non-pesticides control methods.

     3. Students have abilities of quarantine.

     4. Students have bio-technology of agriculture.
     5. Students can research and publish papers independently.

     Rules and Restrictions regarding courses and credits:

     Required credits for graduate: 30.
     Including Professional Compulsory credits : 6,
     Professional Selective credits : 18,
     Thesis : 6.
