Background and Philosophy
The General
Education Center of NCYU is a subdivision of Academic Affairs, which is
responsible for planning general education curriculums, waiving credit hours,
evaluation of graduation credits, add or drop a course. The Center is staffed
by one director (concurrent post by faculty members) and three staff members.
Courses of the Center are taught by full/part-time faculty members from all
departments.
The General Education Committee
is convened once a semester to discuss the development issues of the Center and
review the relevant general education curriculum. The president shall serve as
the chairperson of the committee and preside at the meeting.
The General Education
Curriculum Committee is established to improve the quality of the general
education curriculum. The dean of academic affairs shall serve as the
chairperson of the committee and preside at the meeting, and the committee
reviews the conditions of the general education curriculum.
